Administration and Board of Education

Attica USD 511 is governed by a seven member Board. Board Members are elected at large for staggered terms of four years. Each Board Member must be a resident of the district, at least 18 years old, a registered voter,elected at a general election or appointed to fill an unexpired term, and cannot be an employee of the board on which they are a member.

"The Board shall have authority to conduct district business without specific statutory delegation. The board may transact all school district business and adopt policies the board deems appropriate to perform its constitutional duty to maintain, develop and operate local public schools." (Board Policy A - District Authority)

The Board shall set both short- and long-term goals, establish clear policy, select and evaluate the superintendent of schools, and hold the superintendent accountable for accomplishing district goals. (Kansas Association of School Boards)

The day to day operation of the district is the superintendent's responsibility along with his staff. Attica USD 511's administration staff consists of the following:
