The Attica USD 511 yearly calendar is presented and discussed with faculty and staff before being submitted to the Board of Education. Spring Break is always determined by Pratt Community College's (PCC) Spring Break due to the number of students taking PCC classes through the district's ITV hookup.

Faculty and staff also have input into Parent/Teacher conference days, Thanksgiving Break, Christmas Break, Easter Break, and the ending of nine week periods.

Once the yearly calendar has been approved, monthly activities are scheduled and determined by athletic & activities contracts, KSHSAA dates, negotiated items, etc. All scheduled dates, however, are subject to change because of weather, eligibility, illnesses, etc.
