High School National Honor Society

Sponsor Cindy Warren

The purpose of the National Honor Society chapter is to create enthusiasm for scholarship, to stimulate a desire to render service, to promote leadership, and to develop character in the students in Attica High School

Students with a cumulative grade point average of 3.3 are eligible to become members of the Attica High School National Honor Society. Members of the Freshmen, Sophomore, Junior and Senior classes are given information packets to complete for the honor. Completion of the form does not guarantee selection.

Co-curricular activities, leadership positions, community activities, work experience, recognition, and awards are the criteria for the final selection. A committee of five voting faculty have the responsibility of reading and evaluating the information sheets from each student.

Once selected, members have the responsibility to continue to demonstrate the merited qualities.

The National Honor Society sponsored the penny drive for Toys for Tots this year. They collected $301.07. Some members of NHS read various books to the elementary students during each school week.
