Advisory Period
August 15, 2022
Advisory Period is for grades 6-12th. With the exception of seniors, all grades are mixed throughout the building with various teachers.
Mondays students are to complete grade checks and email them to parents.
Tuesdays are IPS (individual Plan of Study) days. Here students are working on the various state components of the IPS. Individual plans of study are addressed as part of the “Career Awareness and Guidance” criteria in the current draft version of Kansas’ new accreditation model.
Wednesdays are SEL or Social Emotional Learning. The harbor. Kansas school districts’ missions reflect the Kansas State Board of Education’s (KSBE) vision of preparing successful high school graduates. These districts locally measure progress toward achievement of the State Board of Education’s social-emotional outcome and goal of each student developing the social, emotional and character competencies that promote learning and success in life.

Thursdays: College and Career Spotlights. This day is a time for college visitor presentations or military recruiters to come and speak to our students. This is for high school students only. Career Spotlights are highlighted under the Transition 2 Career program. Speakers from various careers come and speak to our students in regards to their field. This is open to all secondary grades.
Fridays- Club days! Each 9 weeks students sign up to be in a club. Clubs are intended to show students other healthy outlets to express their emotions. Clubs are very popular here at Attica and we are excited to continue this tradition.
