Mr. Lanning is currently in his second year as the 7-12 Principal and 13th year overall in education. Prior to serving at Attica, Mr. Lanning taught science for the Fairfield and Wichita school districts. He graduated with his Bachelor's degree in Science Education in 2003 from Emporia State University. Mr. Lanning received his Building Leadership training from Emporia State University and his District Leadership training from Fort Hays State University. He is currently pursuing an Ed.D. in Administration.

Mr. Lanning and his wife, Emily, have been married for two years. They live in Attica with their three children who all attend the elementary school.
